German automaker BMW has registered the trademark for what looks to be a new flagship SUV.
First spotted (https://www.autonews.com/cars-concepts/bmw-grow-crossover-lineup-x8) by a member of the Bimmer Post forums, Germany’s trademark office recently published BMW’s application filed March 24 for the “X8” trademark. According to Car and Driver (https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a32149442/bmw-trademarks-x8-x8m-names-revealed/), the application was officially registered on April 1, giving car buffs something new to salivate over.
Car blog Jalopnik called (https://jalopnik.com/youre-probably-going-to-have-to-look-at-a-bmw-x8-soon-1842962108) the X8’s predecessor, the X7, the German automaker’s largest SUV to date. The X8 would be the latest in the company’s X-series.
Motor1.com said (https://www.motor1.com/news/409510/bmw-x8-m-trademark/) the new SUV is rumored to be an “ultra-luxurious” four-seat version of the X7.
